Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of January 30, 2022

By David Himmel

Nothing fun can be done for fun and fun alone. Not if there’s even a hint of money to be made.

• Hospital blankets are comfortable in the worst kind of way.

• It’d be funny if Biden appointed Anita Hill to the Supreme Court. Of course, it won’t happen. She’d never accept. But it’d be funny in the most tone deaf, hateful way imaginable.

• If you’re afraid of commitment and want to kill yourself, you’re just a cutter.

• If there’s anything that Ukraine can do to beat down a Russian invasion, it’s to sic Yakov Smirnoff on them. He built his career on taking Russia down.

• I have dreams of killing city rats and squirrels, and I’m good with it.
