Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 29, 2020

By David Himmel

• Humor is not a universal language. It is, by nature and design, intended for siloing. Even the greatest broad comedy has its haters. The closest thing to universally accepted comedy is Jay Leno and, c’mon, fuck Jay Leno.

• And fuck Jimmy Fallon, too.

• My father has the tongue of a conservative but the heart of a liberal. And, I assume, the cock of a Norse god.

• One man’s joke is another woman’s reason for divorce.

• My paternal grandmother lived a blessed life. She was born right after the last global pandemic and died just before this one. Nonny, I applaud you for your well-times entrance and exit.

• When the days start blending together it’s time to switch up your drugs and drink.
