Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of April 19, 2026
• The broader one’s taste in music, the greater weight their opinion should carry about your favorite artist.
• To that point… the broader the thinking minds, the more valuable their insight.
• And to that point… incorporating diversity is not a benefit simply because of skin color and eye shape—it’s a benefit because diverse thinking never hails from a narrow mind.
• That said… I am a car guy. One with very narrow opinions.
• When considering your tattoo adventure, keep in mind that you want your tattoos to communicate that you’re cool enough to have tattoos, not that your tattoos make you appear cool.
• If you ever want the Ellis Island experience circa 1907, swing into the Chicago City Clerk’s office in Portage Park. The number of different accents is loads of fun and reminds you of the shared American Experience, which is that city bureaucracy is no fun for any of us.
