However pointless or banal it may seem at the time, small talk might end up giving one person a moment in which they feel like they belong and have worth. That one person might really need that moment.
Gaps In Humanity
We all know the generation war has raged for as long as there have been generations to fight it. But with times changing rapidly and trends flickering by like flashes of lightning, it is becoming easier to separate generations into opposing tribes.
I’m not going to argue that teachers and school staff don’t need appreciation. They are important players in our children’s lives. Highly influential for good and ill. But there are a few problems I come up against with Teacher Appreciation Week. Those problems are time, effort, and even money.
