The Real Thing
“You want a real drink? Coke. A nice Coca- Cola.”
“What if Coke was still The Real Thing?”
“Dr Pepper definitely would not have cocaine in it.”
There was no thunder, no glowing doorway, no mysterious wind blowing through the apartment, and no choir of angels politely alerting me that physics had submitted its resignation.
The deck simply felt heavier.
