Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 8, 2026

by David Himmel

• If you must suffer fools, do so with a vengeance.

• Objectively, paying $64 for a scented candle is a gross lack of fiduciary responsibility. Spend $25 on a scented candle and make a $40 donation to a charity for the scented-challenged.

• Buying a car is a heartbreaking experience.

• After weeks of traveling, coming home to chaos can feel relaxing.

• You can never have too much money or too many friends. Just don’t buy your friends $64 scented candles.

• After watching live TV in my hotel room for a week, I’ve come to the conclusion that strictly streaming television is living in a depressive echo chamber.
