I Believe… [Manufactured Happiness]

...that most people don’t want freedom, they want a curated menu of shackles they can choose from and call it liberty.

...that the loudest patriots are the ones who confuse waving a flag with reading the Constitution.

...that the internet didn’t kill attention spans; it just revealed how short they already were.

...that forgiveness is the dirtiest four-letter word because it means giving up the sweet narcotic of resentment.

...that happiness isn’t found, it’s manufactured—like bootleg mixtapes in the back of a Pontiac in 1985, hissing but priceless.
