I Believe… [Just Call It Gambling, Already]

...that a casino is the poor man’s Wall Street. Cryptocurrency is the libertarian’s casino.

...that civic trust cannot be redrawn with every map.

...that  our borders reflect both fear and hope. When policy invades private lives, dignity trembles.

...that the unseen majority that refuses to break. Despite headlines full of conflict and fear, most Americans—quietly decent and resolute—carry democracy forward each day.

...that beauty in words can withstand our ugliest moments. Even amid chaos, the disciplined hush of a poem or the modest voice of a simple essay can remind us who we are—human, hopeful, questioning.
