Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of December 7, 2025

by David Himmel

• Don’t beat yourself up over feeling old feelings from old memories. We are what we were. Experiences are building blocks. To not feel those feelings sometimes would make us sociopaths.

• Never give up. Don’t stop, just start. That’s the trick. The hardest part is starting. Genius only comes to a running mind.

• Be kind to people no matter what. Everyone would be an incredible person if they were a completely different person. Maybe it’s the kindness they need to help get them over the hump of their shitty personality.

• It’s great when Apple gives us a new iOS update that completely changes how it’s trained us to engage with its interface. Because we all need one more thing to make our days slightly more complicated.

• The term “Customer Service” in corporate speak has come to mean, in layman’s terms, “Fuck ’em. Let’s watch ’em squirm.”

• I wish my ex-wife told me she wanted a divorce in front of a Christmas tree. Everything is better in front of a Christmas tree.
