I Believe... [Pretending to Work]

...that all of things around us—buildings, dishwashers, cars—are built to survive in a rational world but nature isn’t a rational entity and nature always wins.

...that the duality of humanity can allow me to feel bad for Mitch McConnell and still enjoy his demise.

...that exaggerating and catastrophizing harm feels like a great strategy to being heard in a planet with eight billion people who mostly have unlimited megaphones but will almost always backfire in the form of a wholesale disbelief in actual, non-exaggerated harm.

...that there is a clear difference between being busy and working. The first is about perception, the second about results.

...that the best compliment I’ve received lately is that “your writing voice and your talking/speaking voice are the same.”
