• Less is more. Until more is just right. Beware of more becoming too much, but be extra aware of less becoming too much.

• Sorry if this sounds like a brag here, but it’s astounding how quickly I can lose weight. Just a few days of avoiding most meals and all the snacks and extras, as well as booze, and already my pants aren’t fitting. My belts are too big. It’s astounding and alarming. And just in time for Sweater Season.

• When you see signs, follow them. They’re there to keep you safe and alive.

• Finding the positive in the past, present, and future is something I need to get better at. And I’m excited to do it. And that feels like a good start.

• Fear can be mastered. Loathing is destructive.

• There is humor in all things. All things. If you can’t find it, that’s on you.
