Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of November 26, 2023

By David Himmel

• There’s no more uncomfortable feeling than being uncomfortable in a place, among a people, where comfort was once an absolute certainty.

• Amazon book reviews are my love language. (Talk sweetly to me here.)

• Watching my 1-year-old eat is like watching Hunter Thompson walk through Circus Circus.

• A lot of us have to deal with difficult people on a daily basis. And I’m sure a lot of those difficult people could say the same thing about us.

• Making choices based on your personal brand often makes you an asshole. Making choices based on your personal values often makes you a hero. The difference is one is rooted in self-importance, the other in self-awareness.

• Our formative years will always speak to us.
