Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of August 14, 2022

By David Himmel

• Advice from my four-year-old: “Don’t worry about death or mosquitoes.”

• The problem with the Media isn’t the Media, it’s cable news—what it’s inspired and the simpletons who watch it.

• The older kid is heading off to pre-k in Chicago Public Schools next week. So here we are… I’m handing off my child to one of the most dysfunctional government organizations in our dumb nation. I can’t help but feel like a terrible parent.

• Although, I’ve become so good at parenting that I can sleep right through an infant’s midnight cries.

• We all have longings. The thing I’ve longed for the most lately are a drunk and silly wife.

• I’m still playing Wordle every day. I still love it.
