Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of July 3, 2022

By David Himmel

• The thing is… mass gun violence just pissed off a lot of bored, rich Jewish moms… maybe this is what we’ve needed to get change made.

• We shouldn’t make fun of Boris Johnson. It’s not nice to mock the ugly and retarded.

• It’s okay to be angry. It’s even better to use that anger to make the world better—that is more peaceful and inclusive and equitable.

• When the perceived idea that the world is burning becomes overwhelming, the final hour of Avengers: Endgame is the perfect salve.

• Scars, in most cases, are proof of a good time. In the other cases, proof that something went terribly wrong.

• American Independence is a really bad joke. Or, putting a positive spin on it, a really good lie.
