Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of June 19, 2022

By David Himmel

• Clarence Thomas needs to go. This sullen motherfucker came to prominence in a foul way and he needs to leave in a fast and painful death-spiral to hell.

• There are far too many pro-life folks celebrating in the misery of their fellow humans this week. Hardly a surprise.

• No water tastes better than that which comes from a garden hose.

• Yeah, I’ve reached the point… To vote is to invest in hope. To invest in hope is to prolong the torments of humanity.

• Despite my near crippling cynicism, spending time in Munich, Germany—the birthplace of the Nazi Movement—gives me a vaguely positive outlook on America’s future. Would be nice if we could come out of this budding civil war without paying such a high price for our hubris and failure.

• My son telling me he loves me even after I broke his heart by denying him McDonald’s for dinner is enough reason for me to want to fight climate change.
