Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of November 6, 2022

By David Himmel

• Ambition is the antidote to happiness.

• When you don’t know where to go, go back to the start.

• Had a professional plumber at the house to handle some bigger and gas-related jobs. I fancy myself a decent amateur plumber, so it’s nice to hear the pro cursing up a storm just like I do.

• Chicken soup, weed, and a good night’s snuggle with a big dog are the best way to suffer through a cold.

• If you’re going to be a one-hit wonder, be the Lee Greenwood of one-hit wonders. Lean into that shit like your life depends on it. Because it does.

• Having Don Hall back in Chicago feels right.
