I Believe... [Children Listen]

...that comedy is not about punching up or down as comedy is at the expense of the self-serious and has little to do with power dynamics.

..that each individual human is representative of only themselves and no tribal or gendered affiliation changes that. Our need to lump things into categories is in desperate need of evolving.

...that Twitter is filled with people barely able to keep their composure when confronted with a differing opinion waxing on about how they could perform better than the average cop during an armed confrontation.

...that if you treat people like children, they learn to behave like children.

...that most people are conformist. Even non-conformists, when they go to a non-conforming dinner party, enforce their own groupthink. Identity is just a doorway to being accepted by the people you think are cooler than you.
