Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 14, 2021

By David Himmel

• Feelings are your facts. Yours and yours alone. They are not hard evidence for anyone or anything except yourself. They do matter, just not with the kind of absolution you want them to have.

• I’m all for Stop Asian Hate, but I’m also for Hate White Supremacy.

• I am absolutely, 1,000 percent not for Blue Lives Matter.

• When Red Bull and a 7-Eleven donut is your breakfast, you know you’ve got about two-and-a-half hours of rabid productivity before you crash harder than JFK Jr. (If you don’t get that reference, that’s proof that politics as celebrity is as pointless as it should be.)

• Apparently, getting new glasses will make your wife fall in love with you all over again. Especially when those glasses make you look even more like Rachel Maddow.

• Journalism always outweighs memoirism. Unless the memoir is flush with fiction.
