I Believe... [Rush Who?]

By Don Hall

...that consuming other people’s gossip-mongering, fear-mongering, and in general poisonous thought patterns as entertainment and distraction is no different than becoming addicted to meth.

...that the outcome of conformity of any kind is mediocrity of every kind.

...that only the very few in state government speak for the people their state. Government is in existence to fix the problems not bloviate about cultural differences. Centrism is not about ideology or morality, it’s about getting the Texas infrastructure repaired, fairly apportioning money to public schools, and upping the goddamned minimum wage.

...that in the midst of a pandemic (…still here, fuckers…), an economic crisis, a climate disaster, and the GOP gerrymandering their fucking ass’s off, I’m 100 percent certain that renaming high schools and airports is absolutely the best use of our elected officials’ time.

...that hearing that Rush Limbaugh has passed on affects me much in the same way as when I hear about someone I heard yelling about something once in a high school auditorium and then promptly blocked the memory from existence.
