I Believe… [The Social Media Blackout AI]

By Don Hall

…that the universe is built upon the bedrock of planned obsolescence. To assume that you are any different than a smartphone, soon to be denied software updates and replaced by a faster, sleeker model, is to refuse to accept your own demise.

…that the consumption of unending news sounds like a good idea but generally stunts the ability to live amongst the rest of the primates in harmony.

…that while I despised Bush and Cheney, their reign could not allow me to accurately type this: The Oval Office is currently occupied by a semi-sentient skin tag with a Twitter thumb. I guess the insult glass has been half-full, at least.

…that everyone who casts a shadow is a teetering Jenga tower of hurt feelings. Your tower does not make you unique, interesting, or rationally able to claim violence upon you.

…that Facebook and Twitter should have an AI that prevents the posting of false information, rebukes bullying of any sort, and immediately deletes complaints of persecution. In an instant social media would be rid of Trump, Fox News, twenty-year old women of all races, and the Woke.
