I Believe… [Doubling Down on Losing]

By Don Hall

…that “I’m so filled with rage that I don’t want to distinguish the difference between Harvey Weinstein and a dude sending me a suggestive DM” is not the most productive outlook to radically envision and engineer a new society.

…that Better Call Saul is a better show than Breaking Bad. And I love Breaking Bad.

…that societal change only favors those most tenacious and undistracted. And, no, your tiny human brain cannot spend hours on Faceborg and Netflix and effect major shifts in cultural equity.

…that the act of creating things is far better for the soul than the act of destroying things.

…that nothing screams “LOSER!” like someone so fully committed to a decades-long losing political strategy that it seems righteous to continue to defend it despite all evidence that demonstrates its ineffectiveness. This includes proponents of both Trickle Down Economics and Identity Politics.
