I Believe... [Suppress Those Emotions, Men]

By Don Hall

...that “dying penniless” is sort of the goal, right? Why is it considered an unfavorable outcome when it’s just solid money management?

...that the fight to have all references to women who give birth to children (formerly known as “mothers”) changed to “birthing people” is like arguing over how much avocado one should put on a piece of toast.

...that, given the obvious but now proven revelation that social media is psychologically detrimental to kids, social media should be treated just like cigarettes and limited to only those emotionally mature enough to handle them. Joe Camel is now Joe Insta.

...that good mental health is not exhibited by one’s inability to cope with discomfort or unhappiness but the opposite. Learning to handle the stresses of life is an essential skill only practiced in the face of said discomfort.

...that, in light of a certain demographic of men unleashing their rage and butt-hurt, perhaps the advice for men to unpack their feelings rather than suppress them was not particularly well thought out. By all means, dudes, suppress those emotions and shut the fuck up.
