I Believe... [Freedom is Harder Than Previously Advertised]

By Don Hall

...that it is odd that a generation raised on South Park and The Family Guy are so easily offended. I grew up on Python and I find Dadaist absurdity to be my favorite part of every day.

...that removing Abraham Lincoln’s name from a public school for any reason at all is lunacy.

...that the whole “is pineapple a pizza topping?” debate is a fucking ham-fisted advertising campaign designed to make Domino’s relevant. There’s a pandemic, economic disaster, and the climate is going down the shitter. You want pineapple on your freaking pizza, go for it, says I.

...that the revival of cultural conformity and political zealotry shows that freedom is not as easy as we assumed.

...that in 2021 no one says the N-word casually.
