Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of December 17, 2023

By David Himmel

• Our memories are born of our distorted and selfish perceptions.

• Not one of us sees ourselves as Mr. Potter. In our own truths, we’re George Bailey. And that’s “sentimental hogwash.”

• I cannot recall a time in my life where I’ve felt less of the Christmas spirit. But I know it has nothing to do with my visit to Israel earlier this year.

• Do not confuse anger with indifference.

• An early morning Taco Bell lunch is an underrated treat.

• Sometimes life can feel like the final week before your next haircut. It’s awkward and difficult to manage, but know that better (hair) days are ahead.
