Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 5, 2023

By David Himmel

• Depeche Mode and Duran Duran are two bands that completely got by me. And I’m fine with that.

• I’m jealous of people who comfortably wear short sleeve shirts in the winter.

 • I’m no fan of Nikki Haley, but why shouldn’t we test politicians over seventy-five for competency? We test our youth for a lot more than just competency with a lot less at stake than governing the American People. Because you sure can’t be in student government or play on the football team if you clock in anything lower than a 3.0 GPA.

• Strategy is the fuel, the driving force behind all good creative pursuits.

• I hate Microsoft. It’s like if a robot were a blue blood rich kid with no personality, charm, or real interest in anything, and you only hang out with them because their family sponsors your soccer and baseball teams, school trips, and has a killer lake house we all like to party at. But ultimately, fuck this kid. They suck and they know it.

• When we almost die, we “cheat death.” It can also be said that when we die, we’ve “cheated life.”
