Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of June 1, 2025
• Priorities are terrible at taking turns.
• It’s amazing how seamlessly you can go from “No, you hang up first” to it being a race on who can hang up first.
• Given the choice, I’d rather be outside.
• Actually, I prefer to be outside. That puts a more positive spin on it.
• At my kid’s request, we went through my old class yearbooks. My God! In the eighth grade yearbook, there were a lot of messages written from friends about getting laid over the summer. Like, demanding I get laid. Well, I didn’t. Sorry, guys. (And no, I did not read those messages to my kid.) Also, none of those inside jokes make sense thirty-plus years later, which is unfortunate.
• Criticism and hard truths are much easier to take when they come from a person you know truly loves you. If you can’t take the criticism, it’s probably time to move on.
