Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of July 25, 2021

By David Himmel

• The best part about the January 6 Insurrection Committee hearing this week was all the cursing on public radio and television.

• The second best part about the hearing was the reminder that anyone who still supports the Big Lie and remains pro-Trump, and even, to a lesser degree, pro-Republican is, or borders on, being pro-treason.

• There are too many talented celebrity impersonators with royally shitty websites. My advice to you talented impersonators: Take a break from aping real celebrities and hire a writer to clean up your shit. Elvis had people. Be like Elvis. Get people!

• I should have dated more writers. That way I’d know what my exes really thought of me. Eh… maybe next time.

• I understand that some people legitimately can’t get vaccinated. For health reasons. If that’s the case, practice all that annoying shit like wearing masks and social distancing. But if you’re not getting vaccinated because of freedom or religion or the fiction around the vaccine’s harmful effects or any other baseless notion, please, feel free to walk mask-free in front of a moving train. But not during rush hour. Don’t screw up everyone’s day any more than you already have, idiot.

• An organized home is an organized mind. Which gives you the clarity to see that you haven’t accomplished anything of real value.
