I Believe… [The Difference Between ‘Normal’ and ‘Ordinary’]

By Don Hall

…that Gen Z has become the generational equivalent of a slots player who willingly puts her money into the machine and complains that it’s rigged against her and then complains that she had to wait five minutes for her free cocktail.

…that few jobs have meaningful purpose baked in the crust. Sack up and create the meaning or continue to be bored and anxious.

…that too much information without the time to process it, too much escape without anything substantive to escape from, and the desire to align oneself with the victim status of whole tribes despite not experiencing any ounce of oppression from anyone but the entitled woman frustrated that you don’t have her brand of cigarettes begins to dull the blade of focus.

…that cisgender is not a synonym for normal but a synonym for ordinary. Thus, those outside of the ordinary are naturally extraordinary rather than abnormal. Reframe things and we all win.

…that if you can’t handle losing an election perhaps you don’t understand the concept of democracy.
