I Believe… [I Have Risen]

By Don Hall

...that nothing speaks to how clueless and discompassionate we are as people than the immediate chattering of Starbucks customers following a homeless man wondering into the coffee shop barking “Can anyone help me? I’m hungry!”

…that when an adaptation of a play originally written in 1882 so clearly paints both the corrupt Conservatives and the smug Progressives as two sides of the same dysfunctional coin, pronouncements that there has never been anything like the Trump administration or the Leftist Army of Identity Fetishists is nothing more than hyperbole.

…that if your beef with a critic is that he quoted a play about race written by a white man who uses the word you most hate and your knee-jerk need to eradicate that word is so overwhelming that his use — in context of a review of the play — is that he is racist, you're a pedant at best, a virtue-signaling asshole at worst. It is not, in any way, shape or form, the same as a white supremacist using the word as a pejorative. Grow up, wilya?

…that Laura Ingraham just experienced what every high school teacher in America has lived since they stopped letting teachers use corporal punishment.

…that contrary to reports, my death has been radically exaggerated. That said, I do eat a lot of cheese.
