By Don Hall

…that a man wearing a t-shirt that says “FUCK the Patriarchy” is like an immigrant wearing one that says “DEPORT ME NOW” or a chicken openly promoting KFC.

…that when you reward petulance in order to avoid the conflict, the conflict will be ever-present. The tantrum-throwing child (or adult) should never be given the cookie to placate them.

…that those criticizing current films for “whitewashing” historical narrative are only slightly different from incels criticizing The Last Jedi for being too feminist and diverse.

…that the worst advice that can come from someone with issues requiring a therapist is “Maybe you should think about seeing someone?” It’s akin to a devoted Christian telling you about his relationship with Jesus Christ when you’re having a bad day or a gym rat recommending planks when your mouth is full of Hot Pocket.

…that, in the midst of the chaos of life, sometimes taking care of yourself has everything to do with separating yourself from the melodrama of living and checking the fuck out. Thus Netflix, popcorn, porn, weed, booze, long naps, and working out. Although I’m not really into weed.
