I Believe...

...that there is a distinct difference between "empathizing" with Trump supporters and working to be more persuasive to get them to change their views.  If the best you have is self righteous moralizing and a "let's fight!" attitude, best of luck, asshole.  They love guns, we love poetry.

...that the idea that "The Future is Female" is solid and important but then I spend some time reading the dysfunctional bunch of infighting nonsense on the "Women's March on Washington" or "Women's 1/21 March on Chicago" Facebook pages.  Turns out that women are just as petty, stubborn and a collection of complete dicks as men are...

...that everything about Terry Gilliam's Brazil is perfect.

...that, in a world where expanding our very binary approaches to gender to include a multiplicity of identifications is considered progress, it is ironic that we continue to winnow down our definitions of race to "white" and "other."

...that the essence of interpersonal violation is the instilling of fear of what may come next.  The only method to combating this is to refuse to fear the future.
