I Believe...

...that a rejection and erasure of the past does not pave the road to a better future.  Rather an understanding and acceptance of the past and a commitment to be better does.

...that the fact that certain segments of white supremacists want to boycott viewings of "Rogue One" only makes me really want to see it 25 times.  Which begs the question: did white supremacist groups really call for a boycott or was this all just brilliant marketing on the part of Disney?

...that your well meaning sign announcing a lack of tolerance for hate speech isn't going to protect you from hate speech.  The bouncer will (strictly within the confines of the four walls of the establishment) but the sign won't.  Don't get so excited...

...that there is at least a possibility that Trump will not take office in January.  Consider it blind faith that 2017 can't possibly be worse than 2016.

...that one should beware of the self congratulations of those most attuned to anger and rage as their sense of accomplishment is based solely on the volume of their voices rather than the strength of their message.
